The detection method for particle hardness is as below:

1) Pass the sample through a sieve and screen out particles between 3.15mm and 4mm as test particles

for backup, while discarding other particles;

2) Select 10 intact particle samples and test them 10 times each;

3) Place a sample to be tested on a balance, use a small shovel/spoon to crush the particles, record the

number of kilograms when the particles break, and calculate the average value of the measurement

results for 10 particles;

4) Using a force measuring machine, place a sample to be tested into the force measuring machine, adjust

the maximum testing force to match the value measured by the balance in step 3, and start measuring.

Also calculate the average of 10 measurements.

Meanwhile the free mositure is one important index for magnesium sulphate granular, because if 

the moisture content is big, when transport, then it is easy caking, then, it greatly affects its use.

1) Weigh 10g of fresh sample (at this time, the actual weight obtained by weighing the sample is recorded as E).

Adjust the temperature of the 2-oven to 50 ° C (or 100 ° C), dry the weighed sample in the oven for 4 hours,

take it out and cool it to room temperature in the drying oven.
